CowPunch Ponies LLC is a Natural Horsemanship horse training company based in Catron County, just outside of rural Luna, New Mexico. We specialize in ranch horses, ranch performance/versatility, and quality colt starting, as well as provide several “problem horse” and Advanced Horsemanship clinics annually.

OUR PROMISES: We limit our program to four client horses per trainer. We dedicate the time, patience, miles and consistency needed with any particular animal. We listen to the horse’s needs, and allow them to drive the nature of each session. With the owner, we endeavor to provide timely communication, clear invoicing, and always help YOU develop the best plan for YOUR partnership.

“[WHY we do what we do is]…of equal importance to working with the horse. We have to be right–our hearts, hands, feel, and timing–for the horse to be right. Then, we can train the horses’ mind and body. Their feet will follow.”

-Brody Provence

We take great stock in providing an exceptional foundation. Alongside our journey of faith, our program has also been influenced by Ray Hunt, the Dorrances, Chad Brinlee, R.J. Cluck, Warwick Schiller, and others. However, our program is uniquely designed using Biblical Principles!

WHAT? BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES?! WHICH ONES?

About Mik & Brody:

In 2016, Mik and Brody began their dream of someday owning and running a full time, bonified horse training company, utilizing their unique philosophies and priceless habit-forming techniques. This once-a-dream now their reality, they’ve built a life around raising their three children: breeding and training Foundation Morgans, training outside horses, working cattle, and reminding overly-excited cowdogs how to chill in the South-Western New Mexican Gilas.

“Both Brody and Mik are devout Christians and they use those values and principles in their life. They share all the responsibilities of the ranch with each other and their children… They’ve learned to be flexible to get things accomplished quickly. Taking turns watching the children while one rides, sharing the cooking of meals, feeding, and even working in their garden…”
