Colt Starting: Our program, designed to lay a solid foundation and build a partnership from the ground up, uses principles like trust, communication, confidence, and kindness to build the best-and safest-relationship possible.
Cutting Flag Work: Specifically offered to clientele bringing colts that need handle-work, flag work often gives horses focus and passion for learning while instilling a work ethic and setting them up for future competition.
Tune Ups and Sale Prep: An option for those pasture horses that were awesome to ride once upon one time, but, now, after all the grass and grain they’ve enjoyed, are feeling a mite too spry. Also a good option if you’ve got a horse you want to sell, but they need a refresher course. Time for some exercise and good old fashioned work!
Problem Horses: An option for those dealing with horses that buck, rear, run off with you, spook, have trouble trailering, or just generally make ownership a chore. Horses should bring joy…not agitation!
Ranch Horse Training: Need your horse to hold the rope, neck rein, track a cow, pack, and hobble? This is likely the right fit for you. This is probably also the appropriate fit if you trail ride and need a safe horse to ride out alone.
Clinics: We offer up horsemanship clinics on our mountain monthly throughout the spring/summer. This opportunity includes sessions from 8am-3pm, and often features a guest speaker over lunch.
Lessons: Horsemanship classes for clients with an active or past horse in CPP training are available and encouraged. We focus on improving your communication with your horse. We also help you work on your balance, quieting your hands, softening your overall cues, and encouraging gentle calf, ankle and spur involvement, to increase the quality of your relationship with your horse.
